The Same Artist, The Same Masterpiece
When you go to the grocery store, one pack of 24 water bottles costs $3.99
When you go to the gas station, a bottle of water is $2.99
When you are in the check out line in the same grocery store, 1 bottle of water costs $5.97
when you go to the movie theater, $5.99
When you got to the airport, $7.00
when you go to a football stadium, $8.00
When you go to a concert, $12.00
The idea is this, you can be the same but valued differently in each location
The water inside does not change, you did not change
Location & Perception matter
Sometimes we may need the change our location
While in every moment, I believe our perception is the thing we must steady
A perception of value that is viewed from the correct lens
A perception that is rooted, established in the design, in the love of our Creator
We are priceless in the eyes of the Creator, our Maker
Even if I was to change locations, the value at each location may still change. New circumstances, old habits, or new management may mandate value + prices to change
In the pursuit of finding our value, going from place to place may leave us exhausted, depleted, tired
The world changes, while the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth does not change
Your worth in the eyes of our Creator does not change
The pursuit for value in other places and other people can conclude- He is calling you home, to Him
He made you for such a time as this
You have been made, created and designed by an intentional Creator
The Lord sees who you are, He knows what you are capable of
He loves you right where you are
I want you to know that you are known, seen and valued consistently by our Heavenly Father
He does not change + He does not change His viewpoint on you
You are His son or daughter, called for such a time as this
He has deigned you with great intention
You are fearfully and wonderfully made | Psalm 139:14
He made you, He knows you, He is seeking after you
He made you in His image | Genesis 1:27
He knows the hairs on your head | Luke 12:7
He died on the cross for our sins, He has your name in mind
It’s who He is
The waves will come where others try to define who you are, do not get tossed
Rather learn to surf, ride the waves by setting your eyes above on Him and stand strong in the calling He has for you
The Artist depicts and knows the worth of His masterpiece
He is the Creator and we are His creation | Ephesians 2:10
He is the Potter and we are clay | Isaiah 64:8
No one else can depict the value the same way as the Creator
He knows your worth, and He calls you one of one
A life rooted, established in the true finished work of Christ, brings us to see the steadiness of His divine character and who He says we are.
Finding our value in Christ alone allows us to walk with our shoulders back, eyes looking upward, and our focus grounded in hope
May you approach the meeting tomorrow, with shoulders back, with intention of loving others because you know who you are in Christ
May you walk into the doors at work with joy, with a humble confidence, knowing exactly that you are His daughter or son
May the first thing we do is spend time with knowing that He is calling us each by name
We are called to walk differently because of the truth of who He says we are
You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house
Matthew 5:14 + 15
For such a time as this, you are living here on this planet, for a purpose
Rise to the call of His voice, not by any other’s voice
Make the best use of your time
Live Loved
Love others well
Set your mind on things above
Seek Him daily, give Him thanks in everything
Show up well
Speak graciously
Know who you are in Him
Spend intentional time with Him
Look Up
Champion others along the way
Sometimes you may just need to change the environment you are in. Sometimes you may need to find a different friend group. Sometimes you may be called to find another job. In everything, our perception needs to shift upward to know, trust and believe in our worth + value in our Creator.
A plant needs sunlight in order to grow, it needs water as well
So grow in places that remind you of sunshine, be around people that bring light, and help flourish the soil you are tending- spend time there
Also create space for people to be valued, to be championed- the gospel is not for us to just hold on within us
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven | Matthew 5:16
Help encourage, help call the gold out of each of the people we have in our lives
Speak life, lean in and remind them of who they are in Christ
We all need people in our lives speaking truth, speaking life
